There Is Nothing To Be Won but Distance

Releases December 13, 2024

There Is Nothing To Be Won but Distance is the fourth studio album from Canadian indie rockers Rick Sparkes + The Enablers, and it follows on the heels of the band’s 2x Music PEI nominated 2023 full-length release, Picture Yourself in a Riot. There Is Nothing To Be Won but Distance, the band’s most vibrant album to date, is an emotionally-rich amalgam of psychedelia, roots rock, and an allusive, poetic voice that turns its attention to everything from Hollywood and famed explorers to lost love and surly, Canadian writers. As well, the album features a cover of the song “Sundowntown” by the late Neal Casal.  There Is Nothing To Be Won but Distance was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Brent Chaisson at Studio Dimanche in Prince Edward Island, Canada, between December 2023 and October 2024. Produced by Rick Sparkes & Brent Chaisson. All songs written by Rick Sparkes except *"Sundowntown" written by Neal Casal.
